Ziga: Hot hydro test of third Mochovce block went better than expected

A hot hydro test at the third reactor block of the Mochovce nuclear power plant went better than expected, with some results even doubling the planned parameters, Slovak Economy Minister Peter Ziga said on Tuesday. "The interim results show that the hot hydro test went better than expected," Ziga said, adding that the final report should be drawn up by the end of April. Ziga stressed that in view of the public pressure, the checks supervised by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority were very thorough. "We won't allow security to be compromised, and if any shortcomings are found, the plant won't be put in operation," he said.
