A two-day museum conference entitled "Active Collections" started in Budapest on Friday in the framework of Hungary's ongoing presidency of the Visegrad Group. Hosted by the Museum of Fine Arts and the Hungarian National Gallery, the conference focuses on ways to broaden access to the public and increase the mobility of collections, Hungarian deputy state secretary Aniko Herter Krucsai said. The event, a priority programme of Hungary's V4 presidency, is being attended by curators, scholars and government officials from several European nations.
