The government's recently expanded CSOK home purchase subsidy programme could double the number of participants, a real estate expert told public television M1 on Thursday. Laszlo Balogh said that the programme offered "safe and predictable" loans for 25 years, and added that the preferential 3 percent interest was just half of the current market rates. He said that the recent changes to the scheme would also boost home construction as higher sales would increase both supply and demand.
