NATO needs to be united given the current state of relations with Russia, which have not been improving, Slovak President Zuzana Caputova and Polish President Andrzej Duda concurred in Warsaw on Monday. Caputova in this regard expressed her regret, as she's of the belief that "we need constructive relations with Russia". The two presidents agreed that "NATO is a basic pillar of our defence and security ... and unity among the allies is a key premise for this to function properly". "However, there is a need for mutual respect for such relations and due regard for the rules. Unfortunately, I don't see this on the side of Russia at the moment," Caputova said.
