Unemployment differences growing in Slovakia

Even though Slovakia is currently experiencing record lows in unemployment, regional disparities are hardly being reduced, as the unemployment rate in western Slovakia is falling more quickly than in the eastern part of the country, which features more jobless people, the Employment Institute's Michal Palenik told TABLET.TV on Thursday. "We have been witnessing in the past four years growth in the number of both excellent and very bad districts. So, it is obvious that the number of unemployed has been falling more rapidly in excellent districts than in very bad ones," said Palenik.
