UN peacekeeping forces in Donbas only in coop with Ukraine - foreign ministry

UN peacekeeping forces could be deployed in Ukraine's conflict-ridden Donbas region only in cooperation with Kiev, the Polish Foreign Ministry told PAP on Thursday. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that the potential presence of the UN peacekeeping forces in Donbas would be fully justified and beneficial for solving the conflict in eastern Ukraine, a region controlled by pro-Moscow separatists. Putin told his Foreign Ministry to file a relevant draft resolution with the UN Security Council.
