Two Czech expeditions to leave for Antarctica

Masaryk University in Brno will send two expeditions to Antarctica this winter, one to the J. G. Mendel Polar Station on James Ross Island, and another to the Nelson Island, participants told journalists on Wednesday. The expedition at the J. G. Mendel Polar Station will have 13 members, including three women. A six-member team will go to Nelson Island, where Masaryk University has leased the local polar station for 99 years.
