Trial of a man accused of working for ISIS begins in south Poland

The trial of Mourad T., a Moroccan man accused of involvement in the so-called Islamic State (ISIS), began in Katowice on Tuesday. Prosecutors say the man was a close associate of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, a man responsible for organising ISIS's terrorist attacks in Western Europe. In 2015, Abaaoud was ambushed and killed by French police. Mourad T. is accused of having carried out scouting missions, by checking security controls on immigrants across various European routes which could be used for ISIS missions.
