Transparency International to sue Babis as he failed to apologise

July 3rd, 2019

Czech PM Andrej Babis (ANO) did not apologise to the Transparency International (TI) which asked him to do so by June 17 in a pre-action notice after Babis repeatedly called it corrupt, TI fundraising and communication manager David Kotora told CTK. The TI will probably file a lawsuit next week. "Andrej Babis did not comply with the pre-action notice. We sent two notices, one to the PM and one to Andrej Babis as an individual. We received an answer from his lawyer saying he would not meet it," Kotora said, adding that as Babis did not apologise within the deadline, the TI would file the lawsuit.
