TASR partners with AFP in debunking hoaxes

The News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) has agreed to cooperate with Agence France-Presse (AFP) in terms of detecting hoaxes and disinformation. TASR will bring to the Slovak market output from AFP's fact-checking programme, which the French agency prepares in cooperation with Facebook among other entities. The information will concern hoaxes concerning the coronavirus crisis and other issues that are being disseminated on social media, internet sites or other platforms throughout the world. The project will provide photographs with descriptions, statuses, videos and other demonstrative evidence proving why the given information is a hoax. TASR will launch the service on April 29.
