Szijjarto: Continued EU Mediterranean mission 'no invitation for migrants'

The European Union must "make sure" that migrants "should not take its Mediterranean mission as an invitation", Hungary's Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto told MTI from Vienna by phone on Friday. Szijjarto is attending a meeting of his European counterparts, and said that participants agreed that the community should continue its mission, which was originally scheduled to end in December. But participants also agreed, he added, that the mission should retain its original aim rather than appear as a rescue operation of taking illegal migrants to European ports.
