Stats Office: Unemployment rate down to 8.1 pc in Q2 of 2017

The downward trend in the unemployment rate continued in the second quarter of 2017 with the number of jobless people going down year-on-year by 41,600 people (15.7 percent) to 223,200, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. The unemployment rate compared to the 2nd quarter of 2016 decreased by 1.5 percentage points to 8.1 percent.
