Statistics: Unemployment rate took pronounced y-o-y drop to 6.8 pc in 3Q21

Unemployment recorded a pronounced year-on-year drop in 3Q21, shrinking by 2.9 percent to 6.8 percent, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. However, in quarter-to-quarter comparison the decrease was only minimal, by 0.1 percentage point from 6.9 percent in 2Q21. Contrariwise, the number of long-term unemployed went up.
