Statistics Office: New orders in industry down by annual 5.3 % in December 2017

New orders in Slovak industry declined by 5.3 percent year-on-year in December 2017 to stand at EUR 3.647 billion, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. When seasonal influences are factored in, new industrial orders dropped by 6.2 percent month-on-month last December. Meanwhile, orders for the whole of 2017 reached EUR 49.943 billion, which represented a 1.5 percent growth y-o-y.
