Some 3000 same sex pairs sign registered partnership in 12 years

August 7th, 2018

A total of 2,950 same-sex couples have concluded registered partnership since this institution was introduced 12 years ago, and 132 couples did so in the first half of 2018 alone, according to the data journalist Jan Fiala released to CTK today. Out of the total registered partnership bonds, 1,880 have been concluded between men and 1,070 between women. The law enabling homosexual couples to conclude registered partnership took effect on July 1, 2006.
