Solar power station reduces CO2 emissions by 3,100 tonnes a year

July 5th, 2019

A photovoltaic power station in the north-central Polish district of Czernikowo is responsible for a reduction in CO2 emissions of 3,100 tonnes a year, the Energa Group, which owns the plant, announced on Friday. According to Energa, the annual electricity production of the plant is estimated at 3,500 MWh, which is sufficient to cover the needs of about 1,600 households. The installation is made up of almost 16,000 panels, each with a capacity of 240 W, which cover an area of more than 22,500 square metres.
