Slovakia unemployment rate 7.65 pc in July

The registered unemployment rate in Slovakia rose to 7.65 percent in July, increasing by 0.25 percentage points month-on-month and by 2.68 percentage points in annual terms, the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVR) reported on Thursday. The number of jobseekers able to start work immediately reached 209,786, increasing by 6,200 month-on-month, a spike of 3.05 percentage points. The unemployment rate calculated from the total number of jobseekers stood at 8.44 percent, growing by 0.24 percentage points month-on-month and by 2.37 percentage points year-on-year.
