Slovakia to use EU funds to boost social infrastructure

The Slovak farm and rural development ministry has launched a call for project proposals to boost social services and facilities providing socio-legal protection of children and social care in the provinces, TASR learnt on Wednesday. More than 72 million euros in EU funds has been designed for the reconstruction of retirement homes and children's social care facilities, as well as for the construction of new ones. The money is also set to be spent to improve material and technical equipment and energy efficiency in these facilities.
