Slovakia to drop traditional form of school-leaving exams this year

Oral school-leaving exams will not be held in the standard form this school year due to the coronavirus situation, Education Minister Branislav Grohling told a news conference on Thursday. According to Grohling, the levels of school-leaving certificates will be created by averaging previous grades from individual subjects. Further details regarding the procedure will be published by the ministry. Only students who disagree with the given procedure will undergo a standard school-leaving exam.
