Slovakia RPR on Lidl advertising

The Advertising Council (RPR) has decided that Lidl retail chain's leaflets and billboards in which Lidl compares the prices of its own products with brand products do not violate the advertising ethics code and are thus all right, SME daily reported. However, the council did not approve of the chain's TV and radio spots of the same content, claiming that the spots are unethical and may mislead people in some way. Lidl voiced dissatisfaction over the ruling, but said it would respect it and adapt the spots.
