Slovakia reports 52 new HIV cases in first half of 2018

Fifty-two new HIV cases were diagnosed in Slovakia in the first half of 2018, the Slovak Public Health Authority (UVZ) told TASR, adding the number includes both Slovak citizens and foreigners. Although Slovakia is among EU-member states with the lowest number of HIV-positive people, the UVZ has been observing an upward trend in the country in the last decade.
