Slovakia reported 45 new cases of coronavirus infection on Tuesday, increasing the total tally to 1,244 cases, TASR was told by Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliasova on Wednesday. So far, a total of 52,649 people have been tested, and 3,468 test were made on Tuesday alone. A total of 284 people have recovered from Covid-19, with 26 such cases being reported on Tuesday. Hospitals admitted 231 people, including 80 people with confirmed COVID-19. There are eight persons in intensive care units and one is on lung ventilation. The statistics show no deaths in this connection on Tuesday, but a total of 14 people in Slovakia have died of Covid-19 to date.
