Slovakia records 5 new coronavirus cases, death toll up to 23

Slovakia recorded five new cases of coronavirus infection on Wednesday, increasing the total tally to 1,396, the National Health Information Centre (NCZI) reported. A total of 85,922 people have been tested, with as many as 4,584 tests carried out on Wednesday alone. Altogether 524 people have recovered from Covid-19, with 40 such cases reported on Wednesday. Hospitals have admitted 181 people either with confirmed Covid-19 (56 cases), or suspected of contracting the virus. Eight people are in intensive care, but none are on ventilators.
