November 29th, 2018
The three-month moving average of the Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) fell by 0.6 points month-on-month in November 2018 to its lowest level (97.4 points) since May 2014, the Slovak Statistics Office reported on Thursday. The decrease was caused by drops in confidence especially in services and partially in trade. The ESI has fallen for seven consecutive months, lagging behind its long-term average level by 6.4 points and behind its level from a year ago by 7.8 points.
