Slovak soldiers to remain on NATO's Eastern flank until 2020

The government on Wednesday approved a proposal that Slovak soldiers should continue to operate in Latvia, or alternatively in Lithuania, Estonia or Poland, within the framework of NATO until June 30, 2020. The decision is yet to be okayed by Parliament. More than 150 Slovak soldiers are currently based in a training area in Adazi, Latvia, but they were originally supposed to return home on June 30, 2019.
