President Andrej Kiska has vetoed an amendment to the Police Corps Act, calling it non-systemic and claiming it does not address the current problems associated with the operation of the police, TASR learnt from Martin Liptak of the president's press department on Wednesday. Kiska sees the proposed legal status of the Inspection Service Office as only formal because it leaves open key issues around the independence of the police inspection.
