slovakia's abortion policy will not become stricter, as MPs on Friday rejected an amendment submitted by MP Richard Vasecka. Vasecka wanted to ban groundless abortions or terminations without serious reasons. His proposal was supposed to allow exceptions, which would concern the protection of life and health of mothers, pregnancies that result from criminal acts and seriously damaged foetuses, including damage that is incompatible with life, be it genetic or other forms of serious damage.
