The salaries of non-medical personnel are likely to see a 10-percent hike, under an amending proposal to the Health Insurance Act, sponsored by Stefan Zelnik and passed by the parliament's health committee at its session on Thursday. Higher salaries will go to some types of nurses, midwives, physiotherapists, paramedics, laboratory technicians, nutritional therapists, dental hygienists, radiological technicians, dental technicians, technicians for medical tools, pharmaceutical laboratory technicians, masseurs, orthopaedic technicians, practical nurses, dental assistants, speech therapists, psychologists and others.
