Slovak news agency posts 62,951 eur surplus in 2017

The News Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR) ended 2017 with a surplus of 62,951 euros, as its incomes of 5,260,552 euros topped the agency's expenditures of 5,197,601 euros, according to a report on TASR's activities in 2017 approved by parliament's media committee on Tuesday. TASR released a total of 279,207 multimedia stories last year. Of these, 153,963 were text stories, 14,080 sound recordings, 102,146 photographs, and 9,018 video clips. "TASR reliably meets its legal tasks. The news service was balanced, objective," said chairman of the agency's board of directors Vladimir Masar.
