Slovak minister opens renewed Povazska Tepla-Zilina railway

Slovak Transport and Construction Minister Arpad Ersek opened a modernised railway section between Povazska Tepla and Zilina on Tuesday. "If railway transport is fast, clean and punctual, people in Slovakia are willing to switch from cars to trains. I support this, as rail transport is more environmentally friendly and less demanding both for drivers and passengers," stated the minister, adding that the goal is to interconnect the whole of Slovakia by safe and faster trains.
