A draft law regarding the selection of the police corps chief and the head of the police inspection, which is supposed to be a key priority for new Interior Minister Tomas Drucker, will not be submitted to parliament sooner than in June, Pravda daily reported on Friday. Among the changes that the new bill should include are, for instance, the rule that both the police corps president and the police inspection head will have to undergo a two-round selection process as well as a public hearing. They will be elected for seven years without the possibility of reelection.
