The Judicial Council failed to elect its vice-chair at its session on Monday, when only eight members voted for sole candidate Milos Kolek. Of the 13 Judicial Council members present for the vote, one member abstained and four were against Kolek. Judicial Council Chairman Jan Mazak proposed Kolek as vice-chair in late July. Kolek has been a Judicial Council member since June 2017, when he was elected to the post by judges.
