Slovak crime agency detains alleged money launderers in Bratislava region

April 1st, 2020

Slovakia's National Crime Agency (NAKA) has been active in Bratislava region since the early morning on Wednesday, detaining two people as part of an operation codenamed 'Stock Farmer'. A senate of the Supreme Court in March greenlighted custody for lawyers Milan K. and Lubomir K as well as vet Lubomir K., who are all charged with accepting bribes and money laundering. They were allegedly laundering money obtained from criminal activities concerning the Agricultural Payment Agency (PPA). The three men were detained by NAKA in early March along with six other people. NAKA also seized 100,000 euros in cash and paintings worth 800,000 euros.
