Slovak car manufacturing down 11 pc in 2020

According to data released by the Slovak Automobile Industry Association (ZAP), Slovak carmakers produced some 985,000 vehicles last year, which was 11 percent down from the record year of 2019, ZAP president Alexander Matusek told TASR on Monday. Matusek ascribed the decrease to the extraordinary situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and said the number of cars produced was still "an excellent result" given the circumstances.
