Slovak cabinet approves North Macedonia's accession to NATO

At its regular meeting on Wednesday the cabinet approved the ratification of the Protocol on North Macedonia's NATO Accession Treaty, recommending that parliament should also express its consent. "North Macedonia's membership of NATO will enable the country's integration into the Euro-Atlantic community, thereby enhancing the security of neighbours in NATO, including Slovakia, and extending the stability zone in the Western Balkans," reads a presentation report submitted to the cabinet by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry.
