Seven Dutch men suspected of brutal attack on waiter in Prague

The Czech police detained seven Dutch men aged 24-32 at the Prague airport late on Monday on suspicion of a brutal attack on a waiter in a Prague restaurant on Saturday, the police has said on its website. Police will question the suspects in the presence of an interpreter and the suspects' lawyers. The future course of the investigation will be determined based on the results of the interrogation. The law enables the police to detain suspects for 48 hours before deciding on the next steps to take within the investigation. If found guilty, the perpetrators face up to ten years in prison for causing serious bodily harm and rioting.
