Senators challenge passage of tax package with top court

Nineteen senators from the groups of the Mayors and Independents (STAN), Christian Democrats (KDU-CSL), and the Senator 21 and the Pirates will file a complaint with the Constitutional Court against how the tax package was approved, STAN senator David Smoljak has said. The opposition senators will be represented by STAN MEP and lawyer Stanislav Polcak. "The formal requirements set by the Constitution for the adoption of laws have not been met," he said.
