Sejm starts four-day sitting

The Sejm (lower house) started a four-day sitting on Tuesday following the summer recess. Among other things, the chamber is to hear a report on government steps after tragic storms that hit north-western Poland in August killing six people and causing huge damage to forests and property. MPs are also to deal with a draft law on the modernisation and financing of Poland's Armed Forces.
