The opposition Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party has said it would welcome if ethnic Hungarian parties in Slovakia came to an agreement and ran in the 2020 general election on a single slate, adding that if they failed to agree, SaS was willing to offer some places on its slate to "reputable people from the environment of the Hungarian minority". "If there is to be a government after the general election next year that will overcome the reform impotency of Smer-SD and the Slovak National Party [SNS] and will eliminate accumulated anomalies from political life, then one of the conditions for this is united Hungarian minority forces, which will join such a government," SaS leader Richard Sulik and his vice-chairs Lubomir Galko and Jana Kissova said.
