Roma offer help to combat bark-beetle calamity

The Association of Roma Businesspeople and Organisations has offered 1,000 workers who are registered as jobless for the work in forests against the bark-beetle calamity in a letter sent to Environment Minister Richard Brabec and Agriculture Minister Jiri Milek (both ANO) today. According to Brabec, the country has been facing the worst bark-beetle calamity since the rule of Habsburg Empress Maria Theresa (1717-1780).
