It is in the interests of all European Union member states that the United Kingdom's exit from the EU is coordinated and does not cause chaos across the bloc, as a no-deal Brexit would severely damage both the EU and the UK, opposition OLaNO MP Veronika Remisova said in a statement on Thursday, adding that she views the decision of European leaders to delay the Brexit deadline to October 31 as "unfortunate and ineffective". "The British domestic policy crisis is continuing, and the uncertainty over the way in which the UK will leave the EU is being prolonged. Moreover, a no-deal Brexit is still possible," Remisova said. She said the UK should now also participate in the European Parliament elections in May, adding, however, that there was a risk that British MEPs will leave the EP after a few months and member states "will have another problem to deal with".
