Record high number of COVID-related deaths in March
April 1st, 2021
In March, there were 5,779 COVID-related deaths, 800 more than in the last previous record month of November and the total coronavirus death toll is 26,586 in the Czech Republic, according to the data the Health Ministry released today. Vaccination is supposed to slow down the high mortality and to restrict serious courses of the disease. Over half a million Czechs have finished the COVID vaccination with both necessary doses. Almost 1.2 million Czechs have received at least one dose.
