Record-high 5.4 million tourists visited Slovakia in 2017

A record number of both domestic and foreign tourists - 5.4 million - visited Slovakia last year, an increase of 7 percent compared to 2016, TASR learnt from the Transport and Construction Ministry on Thursday. Slovak tourists made up 60 percent of all tourists - 3.2 million. According to Transport Minister Arpad Ersek (Most-Hid), whose remit includes tourism, another successful tourism season shows that this sector has been developing in a good way in Slovakia.
