Public health authority: Many of new Covid-19 infections linked to single company

Many of the 100 new positive coronavirus tests recorded on Tuesday were linked to a single company operating in Bratislava, Trnava and Galanta (Trnava region), and most of the infected employees of the firm are seasonal workers from abroad, Dasa Rackova of the Public Health Authority's press department said on Wednesday. Further tests at the company -- whose name was not specified -- are due in the next few days. Hundreds of staff members have already been tested, with 30 of them found to be infected so far. When it comes to other cases of apparently more widespread contagion in the districts of Dunajska Streda (Trnava region), Zilina and Presov, these cases concerned people who had come into contact with those who had tested positive earlier, Rackova noted.
