Presov Self-governing Region earmarks EUR 50,000 in aid after gas explosion

Presov Self-governing Region will donate 50,000 euros in assistance following the devastating gas explosion in an apartment building in Presov on Friday that killed at least seven people, regional councillors agreed at a meeting on Monday. All the councillors present voted in favour of the resolution. "This is basically the fastest and most effective aid ... We'll probably be able to send these funds by the end of the week to people who are dependent on this assistance," Presov governor Milan Majersky said.
