President Kiska appoints 30 judges for indefinite period

President Andrej Kiska on Tuesday appointed 30 judges to tenures without time limits, with the judges receiving their letters of appointment at a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava. The 30 newly appointed judges include 17 women and 13 men. "In your lives, while carrying out your judicial job and even afterwards, you must abstain from everything that could undermine the seriousness and dignity of the judicial post or threaten trust in independent, fair and non-partial decision-making by the courts," said Kiska in his speech.
