Premier signs decree boosting minimum wage to EUR 520 next year

November 5th, 2018

The minimum wage in Slovakia will rise from the current EUR 480 to EUR 520 next year, with Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) signing a Government decree to this effect, TASR learnt on Monday. At the same time Pellegrini stressed that given the fact that Slovakia's economy is doing well, the Cabinet will hold talks with the social partners on further hikes in the minimum wage in the future.
