Poll: Ftacnik leads race for Bratislava region governor

Former mayor of Bratislava Milan Ftacnik is in the lead in the race for Bratislava region governor, a survey by AKO agency out on Tuesday showed. A total of 21.7 percent of respondents voiced their backing for Ftacnik, according to the survey on a sample of 1,000 respondents that was conducted between September 13–18. Next came Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) MP Juraj Droba (15.2 percent), and incumbent Bratislava region governor Pavol Freso and mayor of the Bratislava borough of Nove Mesto (15 percent each).
