Polish veterans to cycle across US in honour of war dead

Three Polish veterans intend to cycle across the United States in memory of 44 Polish soldiers killed in Afghanistan. As part of the campaign, they will also be raising awareness in the US of the role played by Poles in the Afghanistan and Iraq missions. The three Afghanistan veterans -- Michal Packo, Adam Lewkowski and Sebastian Stepniak -- will cycle almost 6,000 kilometres from coast to coast. The trip will take 44 days; each day will be devoted to the remembrance of one of the soldiers killed in Afghanistan.
