The results of Polish teenagers taking part in the PISA 2018 Programme for International Student Assessment are ranked among the top three in various categories in Europe, Education Minister Dariusz Piontkowski said on Tuesday. Piontkowski noted that the average results of Polish students participating in the reading study were at 512 points. Better results were achieved by Estonians, who gained 523 points, Finns - 520 points and the Irish - 518 points. The teenagers' ability to use their mathematic skills gave them 516 points, which placed them third in Europe after Estonians, and the Dutch. With regard to science knowledge, the Polish students took third place and received 511 points. The first and second places were taken by Estonians and Finns, who gained 530 and 522 respectively. The best results in the study were gained in all categories by Chinese students.
